Vertebrates and Invertebrates

As part of our science topic we made a dog skeleton.

Each group decided on a different set of bones to make-

ribs

pelvis

hind legs

front legs

skull

spine and tail.

We had a really good think about the best way to make a skeleton and we decided that paper mache would be strong and easy to use. Next we had to work out how to make the shape of each bone, this was quite hard as all the bones are different shapes.

The video below shows us working in our groups.

  2. Hi Haley!

Thanks for your comment, we’re glad you liked our pictures! We spent a lot of time learning about skeletons, and making our dog skeleton. Unfortunately it fell off the worktop the other day and now it’s looking a little worse for wear!

  3. Hi Monica!

It’s great to hear from you! How’s high school? Some of 5LW remember you from last year. That’s good that you’re doing the same topic as us! Maybe you could share some of your new knowledge with us? We know that it’llbe more complicated than the things we’re learning, but we’d love to know what you’ve been learning!
