Friendship Cinquains

Today in class we made Friendship Cinquains. A cinquain is a five lined poem that follows a pattern. First of all we interviewed a friend to find out how they would describe themselves. We also asked them what their hobbies were and what makes them a good friend. We used the information to help us write the poems. We even asked them if they had a nickname to add to the last line of the poem!

Have a look below to see how they turned out  ……. and leave us a comment to let us know what you think of our work 🙂

  1. Wow Primary 3! These are fab! So many talented
friends in the same school. I love the fact that
you know what makes your friend special
to you! If you don’t mind I would like to
borrow your fabulous idea to share with the
the children in my school. They’re a bit older
than you guys but I think they would really
    enjoy this! Well done! 😄

    • Primary 3 say thank you so much for finding the time to write such a great comment on our blog. We’d love you to share our poems with your class 🙂

  2. I would never have known there were such wonderful poets in P3 at Carronshore if you hadn’t made this fab wee film. I bet you are really going to enjoy National Poetry Day this Thursday. Do you speak French as well, is that why you created ‘cinquains’?

    • Yes, we do speak some French. That’s not why we made the poems, though – we just thought it was a nice idea 🙂

Thank you so much for leaving us such a lovely comment!
