This is November’s task for Voices of the World.
Climate Zones
November 28, 2008We have been working very hard on our topic recently. We are looking at the different climate zones just now.
Each group designed a picture to represent the animals and plants found in the climate zone they have been researching.
Next we used coloured tissue paper to mark off the different climate zones on a world map.
Jack was our photographer, I think you’ll agree he did a great job!
Congratulations!
November 28, 2008Bexxy boy
November 12, 2008We chose a virtual pet as a puppy because that was the one that won. We chose Bex as a name because it is a cute name and it is a boy . The colour we chose was the colour of the dog that Emma’s childminder has. We hope you like our puppy.

Vertebrates and Invertebrates
November 11, 2008As part of our science topic we made a dog skeleton.
Each group decided on a different set of bones to make-
ribs
pelvis
hind legs
front legs
skull
spine and tail.
We had a really good think about the best way to make a skeleton and we decided that paper mache would be strong and easy to use. Next we had to work out how to make the shape of each bone, this was quite hard as all the bones are different shapes.
The video below shows us working in our groups.
CShore Weather Channel
November 11, 2008We are learning about weather in the U.K. We searched the BBC website to get used to the symbols that are used then we made our own.
In our cooperative groups we made a weather forecast. We each had an important job to do, we assigned each memeber a role. There was a camera operator, an introducer, a forcaster and an artist in each group.
Some of our geography isn’t exact so please don’t be offended, we tried our best!
Have a look at each of the forecasts below and let us know what you think. In 5LW we always give 2 stars and a wish in drama so we appreciate your comments!

Eco Rap
November 6, 2008Yesterday we wrote a class eco rap. Iain was a great help and he demonstrated how to turn what looks like a poem into a rap!
Today Sam, Jaimey and Iain took a walk around the school and took a few pictures of the things that show we are an eco-friendly school.
Have a listen to the rap along with the pictures below!
