Our Harvest Deliveries

Every year at this time, the primary 7 pupils deliver groceries to the elderly people in our community. Today the weather was not good, but there was a smile on everyone’s face …. the givers and the receivers!

I certainly do remember having a sore back because of heavy schoolbags 🙂

Maybe in the future we’ll just go home and click on a mouse.

Do you think you’d learn as much by doing that?

  3. Hi Mrs Vass i’m going to London in June 1st to 5th 2008 ( i know it’s a long way away)

  4. Hi
Sound’s like you had a great time delivering harvests to elderly people of your community. Your video dosn’t work here at school, I will try to wacth it at home.
Could you also tell me more about your Harvest deliveries?

    Yilmaz

  5. Hello Yilmaz! I wonder why you can’t see our video 🙁
I’ve thought you’d used Animoto inyour Allstars blog?

Anyway, every year at this time, the children bring in groceries (tinned goods, packets, etc.) and we divide them up into little bags and each bag contains a message from our school. We get a list of the names and addresses of all the older members of our community and the Primary 7 pupils spend the day ‘out and about’ delivering them. We always get loads of lovely ‘Thank You’ letters, too. It really brightens up everyone’s day as they watch the groups of pupils chatting to the older people as they hand over the groceries.

Do you celebrate anything in your community at any time of the year?
